This year, 12 lakh 6 thousand 893 students had registered for the CBSE class 12 examination. However, due to the coronavirus infection and then the nationwide lockdown, the board had to postpone some examinations. The remaining examinations were decided to be held on 1 July, but the board later canceled the remaining examinations in view of the increasing cases of Kovid-19.
It is noteworthy that the Center informed the Supreme Court on 25 June that students of class 12 who want to appear for the examination will be given an option for this. Students who do not wish to appear will be evaluated on the basis of their performance in the last two examinations.
