Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme is managed by the Department of School Education, Govt. Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme aims to increase access to schools, ensure equity, ensure quality education, improve attendance and retention, achieve better learning outcomes and holistic development of a child from class 1 to 12.
The Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme is expected to lay a strong foundation for increasing the overall Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) at the level of primary and secondary education of the state including higher education and guidelines will be prepared for the implementation of the programme.
Objective of Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme
The Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme aims at increasing access to schools, ensuring equity, ensuring quality education, improving attendance and retention, achieving better learning outcomes and holistic development of the child from class 1 to 12. 14000/- will be sanctioned to the eligible mothers/guardians which will be directly deposited in the savings account of the beneficiaries in nationalized bank/post office in January every year till the child passes 12th standard. 1000/- will be deducted at source from each beneficiary and released to the School/College Committee as District Toilet Maintenance Fund (DTMF) under the control of the District Collector.

Introduction of Jagananna Ammavodi
- Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme is the flagship scheme of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
- It is a part of the Navaratnalu program of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
- It started in the year 2019.
- The main objective behind starting the Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme is to provide financial assistance to the mother to educate her child or children.

Features of Jagananna Ammavodi Scheme
- The family of government sanitation worker is eligible to apply under Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme.
- Families having the following vehicles are eligible to apply:-
- the cab.
- Tractor.
- Auto.
- 75% attendance of the child in the school is mandatory under the Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme.
- In case the student’s mother is not alive, the financial assistance will be given to the guardian of the student.
- Orphans or street children who are admitted in schools are also eligible for financial assistance.
- Aadhaar card of the mother is mandatory to avail the benefits of the Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme.
- The financial assistance will be transferred to the bank account of the mother in the month of January next year
Benefits of Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme
- The eligible mothers/guardians will be sanctioned ₹ 14000/- which will be deposited directly into the beneficiaries’ savings account of the Nationalized Bank / Post Office in January every year until the child passes Class 12th.

AP Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme New Update
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday launched the ‘Jagananna Amma Vodi’ scheme for the fourth year. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 6,393 crore will be deposited in the bank accounts of 43 lakh beneficiaries at Kurupam in Parvathipuram Manyam district. Amma Vodi will be distributed in all mandals for ten days, benefitting more than 83 lakh students studying in class 1 to 12 across the state.

Those 10th-class students opting for IIT/Polytechnic/IIIT and other courses which make them eligible to access Jagananna Vidya Deevena / Jagananna Vasathi Deevena will be excluded.
Deadlines For the School

Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme Eligibility
- The mother/guardian should be a resident of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
- The child/children of the mother should be studying in Class 1st to Class 12th.
- The school/college in which the child is admitted/enrolled should be a recognized Government, Private Aided, and Private Unaided School/Jr. College or Residential School/Jr.College in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
- The scheme is applicable from the Academic Year 2019-20.
- The Total Family Income should be less than ₹ 10,000/- per month in the case of Rural Areas; and ₹ 12,000/- per month in the case of Urban Areas (BPL).
- No family member of the child should be a Government Employee or Government Pensioner. (except in the case of families of sanitary workers).
- The family of the applicant should not own a four-wheeler (except for Taxis, Tractors, and Autos).
- The monthly electricity consumption of a family dwelling unit (owned/rented) of the applicant should be below 300 units (six months average).
- No family member of the applicant should be an income tax payee.
- The land under the municipal area should be less than 1000 sq. ft.
- The attendance of the child should at least be 75%.

- Step 1: The details of the student submitted by the School Headmaster / Inter College Principal with regard to student enrolment as per the given proforma consisting of Name, age, parent name, Caste (General, SC, ST, BCs, Minority), Disabled Children, etc. shall be the single source of data.
- Step 2: The details shall be cross-validated using the 6-Step Check and with Childinfo/UDISE data and other data of Civil Supplies and other departments. The immediate inspecting officer of that institution should certify those details for payment.
- Step 3: The Provisional List of Eligible Candidates shall be displayed in the village/ward secretariat for Social Audit. From the Social Audit, the list of Ineligible Candidates shall be prepared along with the reason(s) for ineligibility. The communication reg. the rejection should be sent to the candidate.
- Step 4: The final list of Eligible Candidates shall be prepared by the Welfare Education Assistant / Ward Education & Data Processing Secretary. The list shall then be approved by the District Collector. The e-KYC of the mother shall be done through Biometric by the Volunteers / Welfare Education Assistant / Ward Education & Data Processing Secretary.
- Step 5: Thereafter the concerned District Educational Officers /District Vocational Educational Officer/Regional Educational Officer, Intermediate Education should release financial assistance to the savings bank account of the beneficiaries online.
- Step 6: The Volunteers / Welfare Education Assistant / Ward Education & Data Processing Secretary shall get the acknowledgment from the mothers’ reg. the receipt of the payment through biometric authentication.
